Old School Computer Games

Lately there’s been a big interest in Adventure games. These are the type of games that came out back in the late 80s through the 90s in which you wandered through the storyline of a game and solved puzzles that enabled you to continue onward to solve the mystery, or kill the bad guy or …who knows. I was a concept artist back in those days drawing ideas in the early stages of the game that helped form a look and feel to the story. You can see a previous post about Space Quest 7, a game that never got past that stage!

In the past few weeks Kickstarter campaigns have funded a number of adventure game projects that are to be designed and produced by a lot of my friends from those days and also, there is a coffee table book in the works showcasing much of the hand-painted artwork of Sierra. It should be cool. Anyway, in light of all this stuff, I thought I’d post a bunch of concepts from back in the day. Enjoy!
